I paused last night in the feverish creation of the RPG project to enjoy some quiet TV time, and let my brain rest. It might or might not have helped though because I’m still left with some pretty important questions that I don’t have answers to.
This game is an homage to the past, and I wonder if some of the more complex scripts I have planned are adding too much. I refused to even look at materia systems or alchemy systems because those are way too complex (If you remember the materia system of FF, or the magic binding system that became it’s more confusing older brother). NOW though I’m wondering if a job system at all is too complex? I have four characters with their stories written, and although they have a starting class it’s possible to change it.. Your Keeper can become your mercenary, and back and forth.. Is that too much?
Perhaps I just need a list of subclasses… that way the Keeper stays a keeper, but can load up on some physical skills if they need to..
